About me

I started my teaching journey at age 16, teaching Jazz Dance to kids in my little hometown back in Sweden. Jazz Dance was THE thing in the late 90's! And already then I loved teaching. So much that I decided to get my degree as a Dance Teacher. It was my love for dance that brought me to NYC back in 2007. And I loved the city from day one, which made me return a few years later. I now live here in NYC with my husband and cat.

Throughout the years of dancing I took yoga classes here and there but it wasn't until I found myself feeling a bit lost, first living alone in a small Swedish city where I worked as a Dance Teacher and then moving for real to NYC, when my yoga practice deepened. I felt pretty soon that a Teacher Training was right for me so I did my 200 h training with YogaWorks in 2013 and then I added the 300 h training in 2015. I have since then taught classes at yoga studios, park classes, staff classes at Bellevue Hospital and privates.

It was also in 2015 I started to teach Kids Yoga, and that has brought so much joy to my life! It's amazing to see kids of all ages, experience the beautiful world of yoga. I did my Kids Yoga Training with YogiBeans and later went on to lead those trainings, including a Tween yoga training.

I love being a student and I think as a yoga teacher you always should be a student! I have taken an Accessible Yoga training with Jivana Heyman, Restorative Yoga Level 1 with Jillian Pransky and I'm certified in Pre/Postnatal Yoga through Maha Mama lead by Krissy Shields.
